Oil & Gas Well Testing – Well Clean Out

Well Clean Out

The well clean out is a critical phase in preparing oil and gas wells for safe and efficient production. During this stage, contaminants such as drilling mud, sand, brines, and stimulation fluids are removed from the flow stream. This process is often integrated with well testing to ensure optimal well performance and reliable data acquisition.

To protect downstream production facilities from potential damage, the well stream is routed through advanced temporary well testing equipment. Our setup includes high-efficiency cyclone desanders, sand filtration systems, and two-phase or three-phase separators. These systems are specifically engineered to handle solids and fluids more effectively and with greater flexibility than conventional production facilities.

Well clean out operations are typically executed using coiled tubing or hydraulic workover units. These methods enable the efficient circulation of solids from the wellbore to the surface. During this process, obstructions such as plugs can be milled and removed, while the solid hold-up depth (HUD) may be adjusted as required. Specialized fluids, nitrogen, and gel systems are utilized to enhance lifting capacity and ensure continuous circulation of debris.

Our cyclone desanders and sand filters provide reliable solids control, preventing erosion and damage to equipment. At the same time, our three-phase separators ensure precise separation of oil, gas, and water streams. Gas and nitrogen are safely routed to flare systems via knockout (KO) vessels, while liquids are accurately measured and stored in dedicated tanks.

In addition to ensuring a clean and stable flow, we capture critical well data throughout the operation. This real-time data acquisition enables detailed analysis of well performance, supporting informed decision-making and optimization of the well testing process.

With a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and data-driven insights, our well testing and flowback solutions help operators maximize production potential while minimizing operational risks.
